Words & Images - Train Place

Words and Images/Train Place

Kerosene Lamps & Lanterns, Antiques, Old Books, Railroad Items

George never met a lantern he didn’t like, and Gail doesn’t believe that you can ever have too many books.

Visit Words & Images and see what happens when two packrats combine forces. Located on Main Street at the intersection of the Whitewater Canal and Bridge Street we have a unique assortment of books, railroad memorabilia, toy trains, kitchen items, lamps and lanterns, and anything else we couldn’t resist buying when we ran across it.

Our Shop Building

19040 Main Street was built in the early 1900’s to house Lucy Martindale’s confectionery business next door to her family’s hotel.

Our History in Metamora

Words & Images first opened in Metamora in 1995. The assortment has expanded over the years and the shop is currently located on Main Street near the car bridge.
