"What will be at the
Interpretive Center?
A museum would have displays
and dioramas to educate visitors on canal life and history, including canal boat
building, lock and dam operations, hydraulic power usage, and the railroad.
A visitors center will provide information about the
counties along the length of the Whitewater Canal.
A conference room, lecture room, dining room and fully
functional kitchen will be available for companies, wedding receptions, special
events, large group meetings.
A gift shop with tourist with handcrafted works from area
artisans.
A workshop and classroom will allow college classes to use
this area for a class and field study lab.
