The Cobbler's Shop building was long associated with the business life of the community. By 1877, it was the boot and harness shop of Joseph Staub who was a cobbler and saddle maker by trade. At the turn of the centry, Leo and Mike Staub operated it as a shoe repair shop. This shop was relocated to the second floor and was serviced by a wooden stairway on the Columbia Street side. |
